Dave Lanning

I have the privilege of being senior pastor of Springfield Faith Center. Springfield is my hometown and I attended Brattain and Page Elementary Schools, Briggs Middle and Thurston High Schools.  I graduated from the University of Oregon with B.S. and Masters degrees in Physics, and while working as an engineer, was part of the support team that planted what is now Eastside Foursquare Church in Bothel, WA.  In 1982, after a year as college pastor at Eastside, I planted Columbia Foursquare Church in Richland, WA where I served as senior pastor for eleven years.  After a short assignment back at Eastside, where I served on the executive pastoral team, I came to SFC in 1995.  Some of my passions are genuine Christian living, planting new churches, supporting the gospel all over the world, riding my bike and collecting old books.  My wife Pam and I have been married since 1978 and have four children: Daniel, Rachel, Jeff and Jonathan.

My wife Becky and I have been members of Springfield Faith Center Since 1985 serving as volunteers in Small Group Leadership, Prayer Teams and Elders.  After selling my business in 1996 I became a full time pastor.  My role here includes overseeing God Groups, Men’s Ministry, Pastoral Care and doing whatever Dave can’t get to!  We have a son, Eric who is 33 and a daughter, Heidi who is 25.  In my free time I like to hike, golf, hunt, fish and go camping with my wife, Becky.
