BELIEFS

Springfield Faith Center is a Foursquare Church, and we believe that Jesus Christ is the:

  - Savior - Romans 10:9
  - Baptizer with the Holy Spirit - Luke 3:16
  - Healer - 1 Peter 2:24
  - Coming King - Acts 1:11

We stand firm on the foundation set by Hebrews 13:8, which proclaims:

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever" (NIV).

MISSION

The mission of Springfield Faith Center is to inspire people to follow Jesus in a thriving church community.

STRATEGY

We fulfill our mission through this simple process: we create engaging environments for people to encounter God, grow together in community, and love people in our church, city, and around the world.

VALUES

Springfield Faith Center's core values are its constant, passionate, sacred core beliefs that drive the ministry. Our Core Values describe who we are, how we behave, and represent part of the DNA of Springfield Faith Center.

THE BIBLE

The Bible is God’s inspired Word for us and the ultimate authority for our faith, life, and ministry. The Bible is timeless and equips us for all good works. Therefore, we make every effort to read, teach, and live out the Scriptures. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12, Joshua 1:8

WORSHIP

Worship is best described as a lifestyle that glorifies God. In worship we offer our entire lives to God, the only one worthy of our praise and adoration. As we worship, we draw close to God and express our love back to him. Romans 12:1-2, John 4:23-24, Psalm 29:2

GENEROSITY

Generosity involves us giving beyond what is required because God has given richly to us. We give our time, talents, money, and love as expressions of gratitude and trust in God. Generosity is also one way we invest in our church and local community. Matthew 6:19-21, 2 Corinthians 9:6-11, Proverbs 11:24-25

COMMUNITY

The Christian life is meant to be experienced in authentic relationships where we care for the needs of others. In community we encourage one another in the faith and find accountability. Simply put, life is better together. Hebrews 10:24-25, Acts 2:43, Philippians 2:1-4

PRAYER

Prayer aligns our hearts with heaven and makes us dependent on God. We believe that God wants us to pray and that he answers our prayers. Both individual and corporate prayer inform the leadership, vision, and ministry of our church. Ephesians 6:18, James 5:13-16, 1 Thessalonians 5:17

MISSIONS

“Missions” is sharing the gospel and living out the gospel with our neighbors, in our city, and around the world. We believe the gospel is for everyone in all times and in all places, and therefore, we strive to embody the gospel locally and globally. Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8, Acts 13:47

NEXTGEN

The church needs young people and young people need the church. We invest in our children and youth because of their great potential to realize, embrace, and demonstrate the kingdom of God right here and now. We value those who will lead the church on into the future. Matthew 19:24, 1 Timothy 4:12, Deuteronomy 6:4-9
