IGNORANCE ISN’T (ALWAYS) BLISS
Mark 12:18-12:27
The Story:
Mark 12:18-27, Deuteronomy 25:5-10, Exodus 3:1-6, Daniel 12:2-3
- The Sadducees attempt to trap Jesus with an absurd story to discredit Jesus’ authority and to ridicule the resurrection.
- Jesus’ double rebuke:
- Ignorance of the power of God
- Ignorance of the Scriptures
Don’t Be Wrong About the Resurrection:
1 Corinthians 15:17-19, Philippians 3:20-21, 15:42-44
- The resurrection is central to the Christian faith.
- The dead will rise in bodily form.
Resurrection life is not a continuation of earthly life but a transformation into a new and glorified life.
